Advanced Open Water Diver
The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.
Complete 3 Adventure dives, in 1 or 2 days, and you can earn the PADI Adventure Diver rating (PADI Certified).
A Schedule of 5 Adventure dives over 2 or 3 days, inclusive of the Deep Dive and the Underwater Navigation Dive, allow divers to earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
There are a variety of adventure dives, these include:
• Wreck Diving
• Night Diving
• Search & Recovery
• Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB)
• Boat Diving
• AWARE Fish Identification

The knowledge and skills you get in the Advanced Open Water Diver course vary with your interest and the adventures you have, but include:
• Practical aspects and physiological effects of deep diving
• More ways to use your underwater compass
• How to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time
• How to better use your dive computer and electronic Recreational Dive Planner(eRDP)
The Adventures in Diving program sets the foundation for additional training in PADI Specialities and further into the leadership level programs such as
PADI Rescue Diver & PADI Dive master.
